NEW ARTICLE ESTIMATES BENEFITS SAVINGS TO EXCHEQUER OF SOCIAL FIRM SECTOR

A new article has been written by freelance writer, Richard Neville, for the Social Firms UK Annual Conference 2008 souvenir brochure. The article, "Proving The Value Of Social Firms" looks at the current state of play of Social Return On Investment (SROI) studies the need for a simple and scaleable measure of the value of Social Firms. It suggests that, "we can estimate that, for each year that employment in Social Firms is sustained at the current level, the annual benefit saving to the Exchequer, is £6.4 million - a significant sum for such a small sector."
