SOCIAL FIRMS SCOTLAND APPOINTS NEW CEO

01/07/2008

Pauline Graham has been announced as the new CEO of Social Firms Scotland. She replaces Leona McDermid who has joined Foyer Enterprises as their new Commercial Director.

Says Chair of Social Firms Scotland, David Lyon, “I am very happy to welcome Pauline Graham to Social Firms Scotland as our Chief Executive. Pauline, the former programme manager of Social Economy Scotland, has now officially started in post having previously provided maternity cover. With many years’ experience in supporting the development of the social enterprise sector in Scotland both nationally and internationally, Pauline is strongly committed to supporting the growth of Social Firms and to creating more jobs for people furthest from the labour market. I very much look forward to working with her to support and develop our organisation.”

Pauline Graham will manage the strategic and operational direction of the organisation which not only provides direct development support to Social Firms but also pioneers projects for growing the sector such as Business Acquisition.

Pauline Graham said, “Developing Social Firms Scotland and its diverse portfolio of activities is a tremendous challenge and a great privilege. Having keenly followed the considerable progress of Social Firms Scotland over the years, and sharing the ideals and aims of the organisation, I now relish the prospect of leading the team at an exciting time of growth and effecting positive results to achieve quality and value for money for our members.”
