JOB ADVERT: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, TOUCHSTONE, LEEDS21/04/2008Touchstone-Leeds (registered charity No. 1012053) is a leading voluntary sector agency providing a range of high quality services in the community to people with mental health difficulties. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR (REF:BDD/MS) 37 hours per week, NJC Scale PO4, Spinal Column 41-44, Ranging from £33,291 - £35,852 (pay award pending) This post is initially funded for 2 years, with the potential to become permanent. Touchstone seeks a highly skilled, creative and motivated Business Development Director, to join its Senior Management Team. You will be required to provide strategic leadership for business development across Touchstone, including developing creative development and fundraising strategies, linking with partners and stakeholders needs. You will also deputise in the absence of the Chief Executive and be required to lead on the communications and marketing strategy. You will have:- • Proven successful experience at a middle/senior management level. • Leadership, strategic and operational management experience. • Proven success in developing a fundraising strategy and securing funding • Experience of service development and/or commissioning new developments. • Experience of networking eg agencies, service users, communities • A good knowledge of operational/business planning in voluntary and/or public sector. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
