STAR SOCIAL FIRM QUALITY MARK LAUNCH HAILED A ROARING SUCCESS

Social Firms UK celebrated the launch of the Star Social Firms quality mark in London on 5 February 2008. The quality mark has been developed to highlight each shining example of the Social Firm Sector as a 'Star Social Firm', much like the Soil Association's mark for organic food and the FAIRTRADE mark for ethically traded goods.

as well as to the Star Social Firm assessors themselves.

Guests included entrepreneurs who have set up Social Firms, as well as some of the disadvantaged people working in Social Firms and the large private sector companies procuring from Social Firms. Speakers included Jonathan Bland from Social Enterprise Coalition and Nathan Hardwick from Small Firms Enterprise Development Inititiative.
